Hello to all ice cream lovers.
I am a massive ice cream fan and can not go a day without satisfying my insatiable appetite for some (an ice cream vampire if you wil......NO! I'm not trying to jump on that bloody Twilight bandwagon!!). I know I'm not alone in my desires so I thought I would set up this blog to talk with like minded folk.
I want to create a community where we can reccommend ice creams and ice cream products (i.e. magnums) to each other and also give advice as to products to avoid. Many times I have been excited to try a new flavour only to be dissapointed. As well as this, I think any random and hopefully humorous thoughts on any subject are also welcome.
I also think it would be nice to talk about local ice cream parlours. During these difficult economical times (you can't have a blog without talking about the economic crisis) it is good to support local businesses and there is something so quintissentially British about an ice cream (seaside, Punch & Judy and all that).
Actually, where the fuck have Punch & Judy gone. They were the hardest working people in show business. They seemed to be on a never ending tour, going from seaside town to next with no break so maybe they've finally hung up their gloves (although they were more into bare knuckle fighting) and retired. Or, the PC tossers from local councils have deemed the show too violent. What's wrong with hitting a crocodile with a stick if they steal your sausages?
So, to start things off. I have recently purchasesd the new Ben & Jerry's Chocolate Macademia flavour. I was not impressed. The nuts were flavourless and slightly damp, the actual ice cream was reasonably nice (Chocolate and Vanilla) but I paid for NUTS!! (that sounds disgraceful, but you know what I mean). If you like the chocolate and vanilla ice cream mix then go for Ben & Jerry's Half Baked, it comes with Fudge Brownies and Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough and is very, very nice!
